Black Belt Testing 3rd Dan

Friday the 15th of October was my Belt Test for 3rd Dan. I was feeling real good about it but really nervous. I got a lot of comments on my improvements in my kicking. Even the next day in the tournament Mr. Weller said was getting much faster at my kicks.

Also there at the Belt Test was Phillip who was going for his First dan Black Belt. He did an awesome job. And as well the next day in the tournament.

Kelsey was also there for the tournament on Saturday. Here she's told she has to spar against two 2nd Dan Black Belts. She did an awesome job though.

Black Belt Test

The belt test was very good.  Mr. Bruce, Logan and I all passed and received advancement to our next belt level.  Logan received a new 1st Dan belt and new uniform.  Mr. Bruce received his 4th Dan Belt and new uniform.  I received my 2nd Dan.  We had a lot of fun the next day in the tournament.  Logan and I broke patio blocks.  I broke two boards with double front kicks and broke block with my elbow.  I decided not to do the elbow breaks anymore.   I tore up my elbow pretty good.  At the time I didn't feel a thing but when Logan was doing his I felt blood running down my arm and realized my elbow was ripped open.

Black Belt Test is Coming up.

This year we have three people from Northern Martial Arts going for Black Belt Test.  Logan is going for his 1st Dan Test, Mr. Bruce is going for his 4th Dan, and I'm going for my 2nd Dan.  Lizzie is going to compete in the tournament on the following Saturday with me and I'm going to get a 1st place trophy this time.

Yeah Lizzie!!!!!

For everyone who wasn't there and didn't see, Lizzie was tested for and passed her 1st Dan Black Belt Test. She did an awesome job of it too and impressed everyone with her great smile after smile while she did her techniques. For a partner she had her Dad to throw around.
